On the evening of Monday, October 21, the International Convention Center at Tehran’s Milad Tower hosted one of the year’s most important industry events; there, Mokarrar Engineering Materials Holding, after three decades of continuous presence in Iran’s chemical and polymer industry, officially kicked off a new era of organizational transformation by unveiling its new identity.

In this ceremony, which was attended by special guests such as Dr. Mohammad Nazeri, Governor of Qazvin, Dr. Ebrahim Sheikh, Deputy for Public Industries of the Ministry of Industry, Minerals and Trade and Dr. Mohsen Golpour, CEO and Board Member, and Engineer Bahram Movasat, Chairman of the Board of Mokarrar Engineering Materials Holding, as well as Dr. Mehdi Delavari, CEO of Mokarrar Corporate Venture Capital, Dr. Reza Rahnama, Vice President of Innovation and Cultural Development at Sarmad Institute, and a number of senior industrial managers, Economic actors, university professors, and journalists were in attendance. An exhibition was also held showcasing the achievements of thirteen companies under the Mokarrar Group in the fields of resin, polymer, industrial coatings, additives, and knowledge-based projects.

Dr. Golpour and Engineer Movasat then explained to the attendees the various aspects of Mokarrer Holding’s structural transformation. The officials present at the event also emphasized the importance of the private sector’s role in developing the industry and knowledge-based economy, expanding technological investment, localizing technical know-how, extending research and development infrastructure, and fostering cooperation between industry and academia.

At this ceremony, the Mokarrar Corporate Venture Capital Fund was also unveiled as the development arm and supporter of new ideas in the field of chemistry and polymers, with the aim of attracting private sector capital and directing it toward technological projects and knowledge-based companies. Next, a report was presented on Mokarrer Holding’s activities in the area of social responsibility, including the implementation of educational programs and collaboration with universities to develop human capital skills.

Also, in another part of the event, the strategic and national projects of the Mokarrar Group were introduced to the attendees; these initiatives are being implemented with the aim of localizing imported technologies, enhancing the quality of advanced materials, and strengthening the competitiveness of domestic industries. These projects are defined in specialized areas of novel industrial coatings, energy, and the environment, and can play an important role in reducing the country’s dependence on imports.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Mohsen Golpour’s new book, titled “Bidirectional Organizations,” was unveiled. The book is a summary of his years of experience and research in the field of industrial management and the reinvention of production structures, and it addresses the topic of transformation management in knowledge-based industries.
